Getting a new tune

Postby CobraB » Thu Feb 04, 2010 9:42 am

I took the car in to get the EFI system re-tuned this morning. When it comes back my hunting idle should be gone. The guys at FastLane have it. They have been very accommodating so far. I'm hoping they can find their way through all the wiring!

The biggest news is that I made it there and my fuel gauge works! 15 miles (because I couldn't find it) with no issues.

Oh I did have to put my willwood slave back together last night. Green locktite has been applied. It came apart on me Tuesday when I was touring the block. The clutch sticking definitely didn't help the already poor idle.

Got the car back from fastlane this morning. The idle is holding better and the car seems more drivable. Dyno said 240 hp and 270 ft lbs. Not too shabby for the 4.6L SOHC.

hey Ben. what kind of dyno? mustang dynos always give lower numbers because they are rear wheel hp.
Mine used to surge at idle. Murillo tuned it but Im not happy with the delay he added when it drops back to idle.

It was a dynojet dyno. I recommend them although they were pretty bad at calling me back when they had the car.
