Another option I saw a while back on clubcobra was one guy used a shorty header and made the whole sidepipe out of 3" tube. I think it was fasterfitzpatric in the scratch built forum. Forgive my description, but the sidepipes looked Corvette ish, but good, and he claimed that he had a good race proven header design, but I would think the loner primarys would be better. I think the left and right were swapped to get a better exit location.
Another inexpensive option if you're remaking the headers anyway, Speedway sells
http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Schoenfel ... 28000.html I think they have it in a larger tube size, but I didn't find it. Internet is a little slow here in Jamaica. The downside here is the tubes are almost touching, so You'll have to make the flange, and that won't be so easy. If you slip fit it, your O2 sensor will read lean when it's not.
